Hands-on decluttering/organising service
Do you have one area in your house that you avoid going into? An area that you wouldn’t want anyone else to see? Maybe it’s an out-of-control spare room, a pile of unfiled filing, an overfull wardrobe or overflowing kitchen cupboards? Whatever the area, I will help you to work out a personalized plan and a system that works for you, then put it into practice in a completely sensitive and confidential way.
- We will begin with a free initial discussion by phone/ Zoom, during which time we will be able to assess and agree what you would like to achieve in your home or office.
- Decluttering sessions normally lasts between 3 hours and a full day, depending on what we are trying to achieve and are charged at £45 per hour
- 30 minutes’ travel each way is included. Additional travel time will be discussed and agreed beforehand.
Virtual decluttering
You might wonder what we could achieve decluttering or organising without me actually being there! Well, as the coronavirus Covid-19 continues to affect us all, many of you will have more people in your house, more stuff in your house and less space in your house. How you organise that people, the space, the time and even the family will make a huge difference to your mental well-being as we continue through these tricky times of self-isolation and social distancing.
We can help with
- Organising your work space, the living space, or any other rooms in your house to work efficiently and possibly as multi-functional spaces
- Sourcing storage solutions for you or repurposing what you already have
- Setting up technology to get you connected to others
- Clearing paperwork backlogs
- Reviewing bills, emails, post and paperwork that may be causing you concern
- Email and technology decluttering
- Giving ideas of mini decluttering projects in your home, including those that the children can get involved with!
- Giving you someone to process and make decisions with who is one step further removed than those in your household
We usually book in a shorter session for virtual work (usually 1 hour, charging £45 per hour) using Whatsapp video call, Facebook Messenger, Skype or Zoom. This might be an occasional session or regular sessions, according to your need.
Moving house
Everyone’s needs are different when they are moving house. You may be excited or not; you may be upsizing or downsizing; you may be doing this by yourself or with a partner/ family.
- I can help you sort and declutter before you pack.
- I can supervise the packing/moving for you.
- I can help with unpacking at the other end.
- I can also help with the endless paperwork involved.

Terminal illness and bereavement support
Any bereavement is a very difficult time, whether it is expected or not. I can support you through this difficult time in a number of ways.
- Where someone has been given a terminal diagnosis, I can work alongside them to help them to put their affairs in order before they pass away. This might include organizing paperwork, or physical decluttering and organizing their belongings, to make life easier for their loved ones once they have died.
- I can also assist with the form-filling necessary for getting support in their last months/ years.
- After they have died, I can help with the paperwork of this stage too – from registering deaths to organizing funerals.
- I can also help with the overwhelming task of sorting through the person’s belongings after their death.

Longer-term/ regular decluttering services
